Want a Garden, But Don't have Enough Dirt Or Space? Hydroponics Gardening Is The Answer!

Hydroponics gardening is the perfect solution for anybody who wants a garden, but does not have enough space or dirt. Hydroponics gardening is, simply put, a method of growing plants using a nutrient solution instead of dirt. With hydroponics gardening, you are able to grow beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables virtually anywhere you want.

In addition, hydroponics gardening requires much less maintenance than a normal garden would. In fact, you will usually spend less than five minutes a day maintaining your hydroponics garden. Every few weeks the nutrient solution will have to be replaced, but that too will only take a few minutes. While some heavy fruiting vegetables like tomatoes and peppers may not be able to thrive in the nutrient solution, almost all other types of flowers and vegetables will just fine in a hydroponics garden.

Tips for the person new to Hydroponics Gardening.

While hydroponics gardening might seem difficult to a person doing it for the first time, you will be able to quickly get the hang of it. Just like you need gardening supplies for a regular garden, you will need hydroponics gardening supplies for hydroponics gardening.

The most common method of hydroponics gardening is the passive system. In the passive system, plants will sit directly in the nutrient solution. Because the solution might cause the plants to rot if not oxygenated, all passive systems come with an aquarium air bubbler, which will oxygenate the nutrient solution. If you find the hydroponics gardening method that is right for you, you will soon be enjoying all the gardening hydroponics vegetables, flowers and fruit that you could possible want.

Hydroponic Gardening Systems

What is an indoor hydroponic gardening system? Indoor hydroponic gardening systems are methods by which plants can be groomed without the need for soil. Instead of using soil, indoor hydroponic gardening systems use nutrient solutions instead. This nutrient system is fed to the plants directly and avoids the need for other plants to compete with the scarce nutrients in soil.

Hydroponic gardening systems can be a great way to grow plants. They take up relatively little space and can be used in a clean environmentally friendly way. With most hydroponic gardening systems, your plants will grow quicker and be more healthy. They take the nutrients directly from the solution. Moreover, hydroponic gardening systems can be used throughout the whole year; there is no seasonal variation. You can use your gardening system almost anywhere in the house; there is little restriction. It will not cause much dirt or mess and it is quite environmentally friendly. The way hydroponic gardening systems work mean that the plants are able to get a hold of their nutrients directly without relying on the growth of other plants nearby. You can even use hydroponic gardening systems in areas where there is very little useful soil.

In fact, hydroponic gardening systems can make you the envy of your neighbor. In door hydroponic gardening systems require very little work or input. They are usually relatively clean and most indoor hydroponic gardening systems can be used with very little light and in small places such as cupboards and other small areas. I would certainly recommend indoor hydroponic gardening systems for those who do not wish to get hot, sticky, dirty, and wet outside and you wish to avoid the manual labor associated with normal gardening.

Article Writing - Deciding What to Write About - Quickly and Easily

I am assuming at this point that you know what your niche or topic is and that this article is designed to help you decide what you should write in regards to your niche or web site topic.

Start with your niche or topic, for example, gardening.

Then make a list of things that people might want to know about gardening.

For example:

How do you garden?

What climates are good for gardening?

Do you garden differently in different climates?

What types of things can you grow in the cold climates?

What types of things can you grow in the hot climates?

Notice at this point how I am building a number of questions around one subtopic of gardening: the climate. You can probably think of 20 or 30 more questions related to just the climate.

Now for a change of subtopic, for example: tools for gardening

What types of tools do I need for gardening?

What are the easiest tools for gardening?

Are there different tools for different plants?

Where do I buy quality tools for my gardening?

What are the top three tools for gardening?

And again, you can add many more tool questions, especially if you are in the gardening niche and understand gardening (I am not, and don’t).

Now you should be able to easily think up 20 subtopics for your niche, similar to the two I suggest here for gardening. For example, in the gardening niche:

Temperature
Color
Brand
Soil
Weather
Time of year
Part of the world
Seeds
Plants
Vegetables
Fruits

Obviously this is a partial list of all the subtopics for the gardening niche. Come up with at least 20 for your niche, then write at least 10 questions to answer for each subtopic.

Next, write an article about each question…just given this scenario, you will have 200 article subjects ready to write!

Organic Ingredients - Pea Straw

Pea Straw is the by-product from growing peas. Peas grow on vines which, when dry, create an excellent addition to all aspects of Organic Gardening. Ideally, Pea straw should be sought from farmers using organic gardening practices. Peas are from the Leguminaceae family. Legumes (as they are called) have small nodules on the root system which are high in Nitrogen.

  • Pea Straw can be added to vegetable and flower garden beds as an alternative mulch.

  • Adding pea straw to your compost heap will help with aeration. It will also aid in adding nitrogen to the compost heap.

  • Pea Straw is great for Roses. Try shredding some pea straw and manure (cattle or horse) using a leaf shredder (these can be hired from most garden machinery stores). Add this around your roses in late winter and late summer.

  • During winter, put a thick layer of Pea Straw over your vegetable garden to limit weed growth and help towards next season organic matter. If you live in an area with heavy snow, put the pea straw down extra thick (about 2 or 3 feet) at least a month before the snow is due to fall.

  • Shred some pea straw and soak in a large drum or bucket for 2 or 3 days. Use the “Tea” to water your indoor plants and outdoor plants. Add the wet pea straw to your compost heap.

  • Pea Straw around Tomatoes, Potatoes, Capsicum, Lettuce, Brassicas and other Root & Leaf Vegetables and Fruit will help limit weed growth and will add much needed organic matter to the soil.

  • Pea Straw is one of the best ingredients an Organic Gardener can use for maintaining strong health plants. It can be used in a variety of ways around your home Garden. Contact your local nursery or garden centre to find out where you can get it near you.

Organic Gardening Business Tip 1: Give Away your Organic Produce for Free!

You obviously love gardening. But wouldn't it be great to actually earn money from your favourite hobby? Doing what you love?

Here's a tip to get you started:

Give away your organic produce for free!

    Why?

Simply this: While you'd rather charge for what you grow, what you're really doing is investing in your future. See, in return for giving away a few "low~cost" items, in return you ask for a testimonial from each customer.

    Is that really worth it?

Sure. You'll find you’ll soon have customers knocking at your door. See, often the reason why people don't buy is that they're not sure about you or you're goods.

And so getting testimonials (written recommendations) provide proof that you can deliver what you say you can.

For instance, what if you had a testimonial like this:

"I tried some of organic food and it tasted so good! The difference between the tomatoes I normally buy is incredible. I doubt whether he’ll be able to keep up with demand round here. He certainly has a life long customer in me!”
    Jane Smith, Austin, TX

    See how powerful that is?

A collection of those is worth thousands of dollars to you in sales down the track. That's why trading some of your goods for testimonials is such a good idea.

Of course, more tips and techniques are included in "How to Make Money with Organic Gardening" - available at: www.organicprofits.com

How Do Hydroponic Gardening Systems Work?

The idea of hydroponic gardening (gardening without soil), has been around since the time of King Solomon. There are a few advantages with hydroponic gardening over traditional gardening -for example the rate of growth of a hydroponic plant can be up to 50% faster than a soil plant grown under the same conditions.

And the yield of the plant is also greater!

The reason for this is that the plants get their nutrition fed directly into their roots from nutrient rich water. Since this water is so high in nutrient content, the plant does not need large roots to search for nutrition. And since the plant expends less energy in growing roots it has more energy available to be productive above the rootline! Hydroponically grown vegetables are healthy, vigorous, and consistently reliable. This form of gardening is clean and extremely easy, and it requires very little effort.

Hydroponic gardening is also beneficial to the environment. For example hydroponic gardening uses considerably less water than soil gardening because of the constant reuse of the nutrient solutions. And also, fewer pesticides are necessary in hydroponic crops -they are not as necessary. And topsoil erosion is not even an issue since hydroponic gardening systems use no topsoil.

How exactly does a hydroponically grown plant get its nutrition -nutrition it normally gets from the soil? Well, these nutrients come in liquid or powdered mixes and can be purchased at a hydroponic supply store. And like soil, hydroponic systems can be fertilized with organic or chemical nutrients. But you should know that an organic hydroponic system can be considerably more work to maintain since the organic compounds have a tendency clump.

Hydroponic systems are normally categorized as passive or active. An active hydroponic system moves the nutrient solution with a pump. A passive hydroponic system relies on the capillary action of the growing medium or a wick.

In a passive system the nutrient rich solution is absorbed by the medium or the wick and passed along to the plant's roots. But a downside with this method is that they are usually too wet and do not supply enough oxygen to the root system for the best growth rates.

Hydroponic systems are also characterized as recovery or non-recovery. In recovery systems, the nutrient solution is re-circulated for reuse. In a non-recovery system however, the nutrient solution is not recovered.

You may be unsure of whether to buy or build a hydroponic system. If you have an 'engineering mind' and want to build one, consider buying one first just to get familiar with the inner workings. Buy a system which does not cost a lot of money. It will give you a better understanding of how hydroponics works and the hands-on experience can be worth the cost of the system as you will be able to reuse the parts when you decide to build one.

Hydroponics gardening is a popular and growing hobby and many are finding this to be fun, exciting, and easy to get started.
